RESTAURANT & CATERING QUEENSLAND HOSTPLUS AWARDS FOR EXCELLENCE 2008

Five hundred and sixty restaurant and catering industry representatives, friends and family recently gathered at Suncorp Stadium in Brisbane to hear the announcement of the winners and finalists of the 2008 Restaurant and Catering Queensland HOSTPLUS State Awards for Excellence.

The coveted Restaurant of the Year category was won by E’cco Bistro as well as Best Modern Australian Restaurant, having taken the top honours at the Brisbane awards night held last month.

The other major category for the night was Caterer of the Year and this award went to the Brisbane Convention & Exhibition Centre for Best Function / Convention Centre Caterer.

The State winners will compete at a National level where winners will be announced at the National Awards Night to be held at the Brisbane Convention & Exhibition Centre on Monday 27th October.
