Join us at the Red Feather Inn for a weekend of foodie indulgence and luxury in Tasmania with Philip Johnson, owner of Brisbane’s iconic 'e'cco bistro'.

On the evening of your arrival you will dine in-house, get acquainted and be treated to a Red Feather Inn 'Shared Table Dining Experience'.

Saturday will be spent exploring the beautiful north of Tasmania. Meeting some our finest wine makers and producers and gathering some of the ingredients you will need the following day.

After a hard days foraging we feel an indulgent degustation menu is definitely in order. We will be dining at ‘Stillwater’ restaurant, winner of the 2011 THA Best Restaurant situated in the old Ritchie’s Mill at the mouth of Cataract Gorge.

The highlight of your weekend will begin bright and early Sunday morning in the Red Feather Cooking & Lifestyle School. You will have the fabulous opportunity of participating in a private, hands on cooking class with one of Australia’s top chefs.

With the produce collected the day before and Philip’s guidance you learn some of the secrets, techniques and the philosophy behind the multi-award winning 'e’cco bistro'.

The class will conclude with you feasting on your spoils and enjoying more of the great cool climate wines of the region late into afternoon.
